A message from your new President ….

As many of you are now aware I have accepted the role of President for 2017.

I’d like to firstly thank Joe, Beaser, everyone who has been involved during the past few years and those who are continuing to be involved.

Now that Christmas and the New Year are over, it’s time to get cracking for the Bears in 2017!

A lot of work has already been done behind the scenes and it’s great to see the energy and enthusiasm from new committee members, coaches, support teams and players from all teams.

Most of you who have been to the club in the past few years have probably been served by me, either at the canteen or behind the bar and I’m looking forward to serving the club in a different way this year. If you don’t know me my nickname was Hendo, long before “you know who”, in fact most of my family answers to Hendo. I’m looking forward to meeting the playing group, coaches and their support teams, once training starts again.

To family and friends, I welcome your involvement, so please don’t hesitate to get in-touch. I myself came to the club as a parent and have thoroughly enjoyed being involved.

The focus of the new committee over the next few months will be putting in pace all the things we need for a successful 2017, this includes sponsorship, so if you have any ideas please let us know.

I’d like to reiterate, how well this club is served by the committee, coaches, sponsors and other supporters. It’s great to see their continuing involvement and we all appreciate the commitment of newly retired players who will help keep this club strong into the future.

Kew Football Club is extremely excited to announce another new addition to it’s coaching panel for 2017… 100 game player and 3 time senior premiership ruckman, Paul Brough has been formally appointed as head coach of the club’s Reserve Grade side.
Having just retired from playing at the end of season 2016, Paul has re-committed himself to the club in a new role that will test him many new ways.
Most around the Bear Cave know “TP” as a very talented, determined and smart player, but coaching has been a long-held aspiration of his and for “Teeps” this is a very natural progression for him. Senior coach Pete Callinan, along with the entire Kew FC committee believe he will be an absolute asset to the already strong coaching ranks going into next season and beyond.
Congratulations Paul!

Kew FC Annual General Meeting – 2016

Dear Members / Players / Past Players,

The Kew Football Club Annual General Meeting is being held on 7th December 2016 commencing at 7.00PM at the club rooms.

It is important that as many people attend the AGM as possible. This will ensure our club continues its strong on and off field performance in both men’s and women teams.

The committee is only one part of a strong club, the other is the help others can offer in the day to day operation of the club.

Hope to see you at the AGM.

Joe Chessari – President
